“Not everything in life is easy. You lose friends, you fail a class, you get your heart broken, you hit rock bottom. You do the things you say you’d never do, and you become the person you said you’d never be. You take the bad things, and you thrive on them. You use them as an excuse to make more bad things happen. You use them as an excuse to become a bad person. But does that really solve anything? I always hear people asking, “Why do bad things happen to me?” and “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Want to know why? Because bad things happen to everyone: saints, sinners, and everyone in between. Being perfect won’t keep people from hating you. Being a good person won’t make your heart bulletproof. But that’s no reason not to be a good person anyway. If you’d just take the bad things and learn from them, and look at the bigger picture, and see that it’s not just about you. Maybe that bad thing that happened saved someone else. Sacrifice is love. You just have to keep going, because life won’t stop for anyone.”
